This add-on module enables the root file administration options of FX File Explorer.

THIS IS ONLY AN ADD-ON, NOT AN APPLICATION. You will need to have FX File Explorer put in for it to work. This add-on is not going to seem in your utility launcher. Its functionality is accessed within FX, by tapping the System (Root) item on the FX house display. * YOU MUST ALREADY HAVE ROOT ACCESS: This module requires that you have got root/superuser entry in your phone/tablet. This module WILL NOT root your phone/tablet. If you wouldn't have root entry, this module is ineffective.

General Features:

Safety and Security Features:

As FX is designed to be an everyday file supervisor, special care was taken to guarantee that including root-access options to it might not detract from that functionality. When the basis module is put in, FX will still always use normal Android person entry for file operations. The root module is simply enabled if you specifically open the System (Root) catalog from the house display of FX.

Security options may be configured to both warn you when you are using root entry (the default behavior) or to require a PIN or password so as to use the root features. These features can be disabled, but they're designed to be very unobtrusive (e.g. warnings are solely displayed after a configurable interval of non-root use).

FX will display a warning on the home display each time the / or /system partitions have been remounted read-write, as it is a safety/security threat to not remount them as read-only if you're completed doing work as root.

FX contains a recursive checksum calculator to allow guide checking of file integrity between two directories, and the system may even incorporate permissions and possession knowledge into its calculations to ensure two directories are identically configured. This feature may be accessed by long-pressing on a folder and tapping Details, and then tapping Calculate Checksum.
