The app explores the historical past along the path, all researched by native historian Barry Smith. All of the points of interest are delivered to you by voice-over from the gifted star Johnny B O'Brien.
There is a detailed step by step written guide to the trail along with the exact path path presented to you on our custom maps.
After researching lots of of map designs to make your journey extra gratifying and safer, Waymarked Trails has 3 fully customised designs:

- Hybrid Map
- Pure Satelite Imagery
All of these maps can be found for download to be used offline. Every factor of the app is tested on Irish trails to be used offline in Airplane mode to save tons of battery.
There is an elevation profile for the whole route and for the individual phases and is selectable so you can see the elevation at any given level.
