Anti Malaria Guide Or A-MG Is a easy software whose objective is to facilitate the calculation of the dosage of antimalarial medicine in emergency situations.
It can be utilized by all health workers.
Malaria is a severe disease and its administration should be speedy.
This application have 3 components:
-A homepage;
-A page supposed for the calculation of anti-malarial agents commonly used as artesunate 20 mg combined with lumefantrine one hundred twenty mg, artemether injection, quinine injection ;
-A page for calculating the dosage of solutes commonly used in case of severe malaria: paracetamol injection, Ringer lactates to rehydrate if necessary, the serum glucose 10% in case of hypoglycemia, diazepam in case of convulsion.
The fundamentals of calculating dosages:
-Artesunate artemether 20/120 mg is depending on age;
-Artemether as a outcome of 3.2 mg / kg Then 1.6 mg / kg;
-The Ringer is given because of a hundred mg / kg;
-Glucose serum because of 3.5 ml / kg;
-Diazepam due to 0.5 mg / kg;
-Paracetamol: right here each age group is capped.
