Matthew Henry was a Broad-born theologian, writer, and Bible commentator Oak, Wales in 1662.

The son of a clergyman, he received a very good education and at 18 he studied in London. He wrote numerous works of catechism and sermons, but it passed to posterity thanks to his commentaries on the Bible: An Exposition of the Old and the New Testament.

This great work of study of the Bible was carried out in his last years of life and has been recognized as the best of the biblical commentaries in English. Before he died, he reached the book of Acts and after his death his work was completed by Puritan scholars from his writings and notes.
