Beyond LINUS - Fun With Sounds is our exciting new learn-to- read apps especially designed for the young readers and learners who are beginning to enjoy reading and studying. Built on the ideas of systematic artificial phonics, Beyond LINUS - Fun With Sounds takes benefit of interactive multimedia to make studying much more fun and stimulating.

This application can stand on its own as learning materials. However, it's best put to use, as a complement to our Beyond LINUS exercise books (Book 1 and Book 2) and multimedia-based learn-to-read programme, Phonics Fun. The contents in Beyond LINUS - Fun With Sounds apps, Beyond LINUS activity books and Phonics Fun are based mostly on the phonics instructing pointers drawn up by the U.K. Department for Education and meet the KSSR English requirements drawn up by the Ministry of Education, Malaysia.

Learning objectives:

At the top of the lessons, learners will have the power to:

- differentiate the sounds in phrases: phonemic awareness

- read out letters by their names and sounds: letter-sound relationship

- apply phonics skills to learn: decode words

- apply phonics abilities to spell: section words

- establish the 6 forms of syllables in words

- analyse the structure of words and parts of phrases, similar to root phrases, prefixes, and suffixes
