Hadith Bukhari

Abu Abdillah Muhammad ibn Ismail ibn Ibrahim ibn al-Mughirah ibn Bardizbah al-Bukhari or better known as Imam Bukhari was born in the month of Syawal. The Imam was born exactly on 13 Syawal 194 H in Bukhara, an area on the banks of the Jihun River, Uzbekistan. His father, Ismail, was a pious scholar.

During his life, in addition to Jami'as as-Sahih, Imam Bukhari also wrote other books such as Tarikh as-Sagir, Asami as-Sahabah, al-Kuna , and al-'Illal who all discuss hadith.

Hadith of Bukhari Muslim

The first person who has the concern to collect authentic hadiths in particular is Abu Abdillah Muhammad ibn Isma'il Al Bukhari Imam Al Bukhari and was followed by his companion and student, Abul Husain Muslim ibn Al Hajjaj An Naisaburi Imam Muslim . Shahih Bukhari and Shahih Muslim are the two most authentic books of hadith, but Shahih Bukhari is more important. The reason is that Imam Bukhari only included hadiths in his Sahih book that had the following conditions:

The narrator of the hadith was contemporaneous with the teacher who conveyed the hadith to him

Information that the narrator really hearing a hadith from his teacher must be valid

While Imam Muslim does not require a second condition, which is important for the narrator and his contemporary teacher, it is considered sufficient.

Such is the difference in the assessment of the authenticity of the hadith between Imam Bukhari and the Muslim Imam, in the opinion of the majority of scholars. Some scholars do not think so, including Abu 'Ali An Naisaburi, a teacher from Al Hakim, and some Maghrib scholars.
